The garden paradise of Madeira, famed for its scenic splendours, stunning cliff top waterfalls and flora-covered mountains, is your first stop. Then it’s on to the largest of the Canary Isles, Tenerife which is dominated by the giant snow-capped volcano Mount Teide. You’ll also find long golden beaches, fertile valleys and the bizarre lava desert of the Caldera de las Cañadas. Volcanic Gran Canaria boasts rolling sand dunes and a cosmopolitan and prosperous port – Las Palmas.

Oceana next transports you to historic Cadiz, whose narrow streets are lined by tall Moorish-style houses and flower-decked balconies. The cosmopolitan charms of Lisbon are next before a full day exploring enchanting Oporto. The Roman ramparts and elegant Parisian-style squares are magnificent, but it's best known for its port wine – to which the city gave its name.
