Join Oriana for this 10-night cruise of Madeira and the Canary Islands taking in a visit to Oporto as your return to Southampton.
First you’ll visit the garden paradise of Madeira, famed for its scenic splendours, stunning cliff top waterfalls and flora-covered mountains. Tenerife, the largest of the islands, is dominated by the giant Mount Teide. It also boasts long golden beaches, fertile valleys and the bizarre lava desert of the Caldera de las Cañadas.
Volcanic Gran Canaria, has rolling sand dunes and a cosmopolitan and prosperous port – Las Palmas. If you can tear yourself away from Lanzarote’s beaches, there’s ‘the valley of a thousand palms’, the oddly-shaped Jameos el Agua cave overlooking a saltwater lagoon and moon-like volcano landscape of Timanfaya National Park to explore.
Finally you’ll call at enchanting Oporto with its Roman ramparts and elegant Parisian-style squares before a leisurely return to Southampton.
