Sail to the fjords with Adonia on this 7-night holiday and prepare for breath-taking scenery, sleepy villages and Viking heritage.

At your first port of call you could choose to visit Kristiansand’s large open-air museums, Vest Agder, or opt to see the 17th century Christiansholm Fortress and the rows of attractive old wooden houses in the city centre. Then it’s on to the small sleepy village of Eidfjord, gateway to some huge-scale attractions, including the largest high mountain plateau (Hardangervidda) and Norway's largest national park.

Your next stop has some spectacular sights of its own. Bergen nestles among the magnificent mountains strung along Norway’s western coastline and was built on the site of an original Viking settlement. Now a World Heritage site, it’s full of historic attractions, the best known of which is Bryggen, a collection of 11th century wooden buildings along the harbour front. Stavanger, your last port of call, is regarded as the ‘Cradle of the Vikings’. You’ll arrive right next to the old quarter and its collection of 200-year-old white wooden houses. There are also markets, craft stores, art galleries and a 12th century cathedral to explore as you round off your trip before you cruise back to Southampton.
