About the cruise
A relative newcomer to world travel, Arcadia only recently embarked on her maiden world voyage in 2009. Adapting with ease, her 2010 and 2011 journeys are eagerly anticipated. In 2011 she’ll complete her third circumnavigation of the globe, sailing west from Southampton across the Atlantic, through the Panama Canal and out into the Pacific. Continuing, there’ll be calls along the coast of New Zealand and Australia, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand, before a transit of the Suez Canal and the final leg home through the Mediterranean.
Being a child-free ship, Arcadia has more room for grown-up indulgences. And it’s these unique features that play a vital role in creating an unforgettable world voyage. Stunning views of Hong Kong Harbour are enhanced by the striking Asian fusion dishes served in the Orchid Restaurant. While skirting the islands of Hawaii, travellers can surround themselves with the comforts of home in the British themed, Rising Sun pub. As the emerald waters of Indonesia caress Arcadia’s hull, the bubbling waters of her hydro pool soothe away any aches from explorations ashore.
Calling at so many iconic ports, Arcadia’s 2011 World Cruise highlights are plenty. What yours will be is entirely up to you. For some it might be the draw of city life; Mumbai, Singapore, Bangkok, San Francisco. For others the chance to feel silky soft sand underfoot on the beaches of Honolulu, the Whitsundays and Ko Samui. The attraction might be in the overnight call at Sydney or the chance to breathe in the pure Atlantic Ocean air. Or maybe, it’s simply the opportunity to explore.
