About the cruise

Arcadia’s very first world voyage is sure to be a real adventure as she travels from Southampton on a cold January morning bound for 101 nights of pure indulgence and exploration. A journey across the length of the Mediterranean Sea begins your voyage.

You cross from west to east via the Suez Canal where the towering minarets and bustling souks of Salalah greet you. Next you experience the colour and energy of India and the Far East in the form of some of the most sought after destinations in the world – Mumbai, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Singapore. Travelling south, Arcadia carves a path for the Southern Hemisphere. Once you have reached Australia you then spend 14 days on an extensive tour of its coastal cities including calls into Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, where you’ll spend a couple of days. A few days later Arcadia takes you to visit the stunning Whitsunday Islands.

You head next for the Orient to experience the breathtaking scenery, futuristic cities and unique culture of Japan and China calling first at Nagasaki and then Xingang from where you can choose to travel to Beijing or instead opt to stand upon the only manmade landmark on earth to be visible from space – The Great Wall. The skyscraper skylines of Shanghai and Hong Kong appear next on your itinerary and prelude your call into Vietnam and Cambodia where, in contrast, life is lived at a more relaxed, gentle pace.

Arcadia retraces her wake as she begins her return journey. You sail back into the Far East, India and Oman, but you will visit different ports of call this time around including Langkawi, Cochin and Muscat. The fashionable city of Dubai gives you the opportunity to shop for designer goods before you step back in time to the ancient world of the Pharaohs with a tour from Safaga to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. Your return journey through the Suez Canal is followed by a visit to Tripoli in Libya before Arcadia sails you to the Iberian Peninsular stopping at Lisbon and Vigo before you arrive back home in Southampton on Thursday 16th April.
