Canary Islands

About the cruise

This Arcadia cruise will take you to the Atlantic Isles for some warm autumn sunshine. Madeira is famous for its scenic splendours and natural delights. Stunning cliff-top waterfalls, pine forests and flora-covered mountains are complemented by magnificent gardens, which display exotic plants from around the globe.

Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, enjoys a year round warm and sunny climate. In addition to its snow-capped volcano, you’ll find long golden beaches, fertile valleys and the bizarre lava desert of the Caldera de las Cañadas.

Lanzarote’s hissing volcano, ‘Fire Mountain’, is surrounded by a striking lunar landscape created by eons of volcanic activity. There’s also the enchanting volcanic cavern of Jameos del Agua, with its unique species of white spider crab, and for the intrepid, try a camel safari.

Before your Canary Island cruise ends you can go ashore in Vigo, Spain’s premier fishing port. The historic heart of this beautiful medieval city is worth an exploration and it’s also filled with wonderful restaurants.
