About the cruise

Join Artemis in Montego Bay for a wonderful Christmas cruise in the Caribbean. Sail first to Bonaire, one of the greatest snorkelling venues in the Caribbean. The names of the main reefs – Angel City, Alice in Wonderland, Thousand Steps – are nearly as colourful as the shoals of iridescent tropical fish you will see there. Next you can enjoy Venezuela’s biggest Caribbean haven. Margarita Island has all the classic attributes of an island paradise – plus Spanish tradition and delicious margaritas.

St. Lucia is a welcoming and beautiful place, boasting magnificent beaches and the majestic twin peaks of the Pitons. Tour the island to see Marigot Bay and visit the drive-in volcano and the famous sulphur springs. Surrounded by a wall of coral reef, Antigua is most famous for its white sandy beaches. Whether you are looking to be charmed by the local pottery and gingerbread architecture, or to marvel at the hummingbirds that flit freely from garden to garden, you will fall in love with this secluded haven. The most French of the Caribbean Islands, St. Bart’s is like a tiny piece of the South of France set adrift. Gustavia, the main town, with its pristine yachting harbour, gourmet restaurants and designer boutiques, is one of the Caribbean’s most delightful ports.

Grand Turk, capital of the Turks & Caicos Islands, is bursting with turn-of-the-century Caribbean charm. The Bermudan British colonial architecture interspersed with the colourful, Caribbean-style local dwellings is quite captivating. The exclusive haven of Princess Cays in the Bahamas offers golden sand, hammocks swaying between palms and turquoise waters teeming with colourful fish. Apart from your fellow passengers there will be no one to intrude on you. Thirty years ago, Tampa was a sleepy little town. Today, its one of the most booming cities in all America. Sample excellent Cajun food at one of Ybor City’s many alfresco restaurants or come face to face with baby alligators at the enormous aquarium. Beyond the glittering high-rises of the city, the whole wonderland of Florida beckons.

Spend a festive Christmas Day at sea on board Artemis, then on Boxing Day call at the ‘Big Easy’ – New Orleans. Whether you are sampling beignets, taking in some jazz or mingling with the revellers on Bourbon Street, you’ll find the city’s infectious charm as easy to absorb as it is difficult to forget. Spend an overnight in port then disembark for an overnight flight back to the UK, arriving Sunday 28 December.
