About the cruise

Embark Oriana and set sail for the delights of Spain, Portugal and the captivating Canary Islands.

Vigo’s old fishing quarter, Ribera del Berbes, accurately recounts the bustle of the Middle Ages. But the area’s most historic attraction is Santiago de Compostela. Lisbon was once the most powerful and wealthy city in the world, as evident in the lavish palaces and monasteries, crammed with imperial treasures. Stroll the old Alfama quarter or spend the day at the up-scale seaside resort Estoril.

Surrounded almost entirely by water, Cadiz is charming and picturesque. Wander the seafront, or the open squares and narrow alleyways in the old town. See the city’s cathedral or head for nearby Seville.

Into the luscious Canaries now, with a stop at Tenerife. Dominated by lofty Mount Teide, this is the Canary Island ‘with everything’. Do not miss Las Cañadas National Park with its oddly shaped spires of coloured rocks and the lush Orotava Valley with its banana plantations and groves of pineapple.

La Palma is the least known yet the loveliest of the Canaries. With mountains rising to over 8,000 feet La Palma is, in relation to its coastline – the most mountainous place of all. The scenery is breathtaking.

Madeira, alive with tropical flowers, shrubs and blossoming forests, is a year-round floating garden. Try a levada walk through its picturesque mountains and deep valleys.
