About Sochi

Situated in Krasnodar Krai near the southern Russian border, is the resort city of Sochi. Backed by the snow capped peak of the Caucasus Mountains and overlooking the shores of the Black Sea it enjoys an attractive location. With one of the warmest climates in the country it is also rich in sub-tropical vegetation, something you would not expect in this part of the world.

The streets are a mix of monuments, parks, palm trees and extravagant Stalinist architecture. Wander amisdt the asymmetrical designed Dendrarium, an exotic park which is a real haven and visit the Fine Arts Exhibition, showcasing a collection of 20th century Russian art.

Sochi’s stretches of sandy and pebbly beaches offer plenty of opportunties for relaxation, whilst a huge number of natural hot springs provide therapeutic mineral spas. Nearby you can visit some of the areas famous tea plantations. In Dagomis you can learn how it’s made and also get to sample some in a special teahouse.
