About Geraldton

Geraldton’s beautiful coastline is also knows as the Batavia Coast after the Dutch East India company flagship Batavia, shipwrecked here in 1629. Geraldton has a strong maritime feel, thanks largely to the Fishermen’s Wharf where a multi-million pound fishing fleet brings in the delectable rock lobster.

The city’s superb positioning lends itself to a host of activities, especially water sports.
For art and culture enthusiasts there is a wide range of galleries showcasing local talent, or why not join a guided tour around the magnificent Saint Francis Xavier Cathedral?
