About the cruise

You"ll receive a picturesque welcome to Norway as you are greeted by a sea of white timber buildings in Stavanger. Alesund"s eclectic architecture stretches across three islands and boasts a fascinating Art Nouveau Centre. A visit to historic Trondheim, once Norway"s capital city, is then followed by a cruise through the picturesque Trondheimsfjord.

Just 600 miles south of the North Pole lies the rugged but spectacularly scenic island of Spitsbergen, and Ny Alesund is civilisation's most northerly outpost in this arctic wilderness. In Troms", you can take the cable car up Storsteinen for breathtaking views over the city and its Polaria Science Museum is an experience in itself.

Next is the charming 13th century Hanseatic city of Bergen, with its colourful timber buildings resting at the foot of looming Mount Ulriken. The sleepy village of Eidfjord has a 14th century church and an interesting Viking burial place, but it also stands on the edge of Norway's largest national park. Leaving Eidfjord you"ll sail through the glassy waters of Hardangerfjord, past one of Europe's highest waterfalls before a leisurely journey back to Southampton.
