Join P&O Cruises as we return to Alaska – the ‘last frontier’ – for the first time in nearly forty years. In May 2011 you can fly to San Francisco, where you join Arcadia and sail for the splendours of Alaska, followed by an eastward journey home.

As you board Arcadia in the colourful and cosmopolitan city of San Francisco, you do so in the knowledge that you’re destined for the great wilderness of Alaska followed by an exciting journey that ends back on the shores of the United Kingdom.

Home to half of the world’s glaciers Alaska’s scenery is simply spectacular. You’ll encounter sheer granite cliffs, plunging 1,000 foot waterfalls and an array of calving glaciers. The opportunity to witness wildlife in its natural habitat is incomparable, with bald eagles, bears, moose, sea lions, porpoises and whales on the ‘must see’ list.

This journey doesn’t just present the splendours of Alaska, it also takes you to some of the great iconic American cities like New York, Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles. You will also call into the Pacific Northwest’s Seattle, Victoria and Vancouver and enjoy a couple tropical delights in the Caribbean. There’s even a journey through the world’s greatest shortcut, the Panama Canal, as well as an Atlantic crossing back to the UK.
