Restaurateur Marco Pierre White will travel on board for part of this seven night cruise with Ventura making it the perfect choice for the gourmet traveller. This cruise also coincides with school holidays making it ideal if you are looking to enjoy time away with the whole family.

First port of call is Vigo where you"ll have the morning to explore this fascinating Spanish town. You could choose to view this charming port from the Castillo del Castro above the city or wander around through the atmospheric old town"s steep, narrow streets.

The following day Ventura makes her first stop in Portugal, in the capital Lisbon. Don"t forget to be out on deck as she makes her approach because some of the best views come as you cruise along the Tagus River. Then spend the day exploring this small but perfectly formed city whose streets boast a heady mix of medieval and Moorish influences.

Another lovely evening back on board will set you up for a morning in Oporto where wide open squares contrast with narrow medieval streets, perfect to stop off to taste its famous port wine.

Your last stop is La Coruna where you have until late afternoon to explore this Spanish port"s fascinating museums, aquarium and planetarium or just stroll around its many shops, bars and restaurants.

Ventura then returns to Southampton, with a choice of beautiful locations for pre-dinner drinks followed by fine dining and entertainment to complete your week"s break.
