Yes, we would like an answer to this as we have been on cruise lines that confiscate bottles as you board, although I understand P&O do not have this policy. But even the lines that do, there are always ways round ;-)

| Just spent the last 2 days in not so sunny Blackpool and as we have only ever sailed from Miami or Barbados or Mexico or Venice etc one thing struck me....the size of the waves around Blackpool - wow it was rough! Are we likely to be on cabin lockdown for a day while we sail through some rough seas!! If we are I hope room service is still available LOL!

There are tea/coffee making facilities and we always ask the cabin steward for wine glasses as we like to have a glass of wine whilst getting ready for dinner. Look forward to seeing you onboard!

| Hi Sallie and Kirsty & Rich, Firstly, on the matter of wine/spirits - yes you can take them onboard and the only restrictions are a) you are not trying to board with excessive amounts (Derek K takes 12 bottles onboard without problem) and b) what you can manage to take aboard. I have previously taken a wine box onboard but have recently tried the smaller 1L wine cartons and found a Rose I like so will take a couple of them - then if I don't manage to drink it all I can easily bring it home!! I also have taken a couple of bottles in my hand luggage. The other thing I take with me is diet coke (pepsi max to be precise) as I don't like their diet cola onboard and the price for mini cans is terrible - though I do buy 12 cans of tonic water usually) Sian has answered the questions about wine glasses - there are 2 stemmed glasses similar to continental beer glasses - will hold a decent double and mixer can with ice!! - and then there are the 2 tumblers in the bathroom which are your tooth brushing glasses. Generally your cabin steward will remove any glasses taken into the cabin from venues but will bring you specific glasses if you ask - and if he can 'source' them for you!! Feebee_71

| Thanks for the info Feebee. I'll have a look around this weekend for some. The 1 litre box sounds okay. Sallie

| My husband sometimes wears a tie yourself one. I'll get him to show you how, although i think the pre-tied ones look better on him. Or is it that he doesn't look like James Bond! Sallie
