Hi Fue fue welcome its getting better. Now I know its a long way to go (keep telling me how many days)but after a few disappointments in the past we have decided to book a hotel for the 30th October just to be in Southampton the day before the cruise. Anyone else done this yet? Although we only live in London decided to make the most of it, always get a funny feeling that something will go wrong on the way down to Southampton on the day. So yesterday booked the hotel for the 30th we always try to stay at the star nice hotel not far from the dock, taxi and a nice way to relax before the epic sail across the pond. If you are thinking of staying the night start thinking about booking a room now. In the past we have left it till the last moment and have not been able to get into any hotel all have been booked so far in advance, you do not realise how many cruisers are sailing on the same day. Best part of staying at the Star is Wetherspoons next door. regards billy. come on all the rest of you that are on this cruise, its almost full.

Hello - Jo and Brian here from the north of England ,we will be joining you , were on the ship for last New Year ,P&O is one of our favorites have sailed on Oriana,Aurora,Arcadia.

Hope we get to know through these posts, have had a request for fellow travelers on cruise critic site for months but no response, think it's mainly Americans that use that site.

I love to chat about forth coming cruises and find out what everyone is planning to do on shore.

I like the days to go count down, keep it up.

Hello Jo and Brian from the north, how are you getting to Southampton?  We are booked on the complementary coach from Manchester Airport.

Are you, or anyone else, celebrating on this cruise, I have read that someone is celebrating their 50th birthday, we are celebrating our 40th anniversary, anyone else?  If there are enough it could be 'party night' every night!

Hi Joleen welcome. You asked about Madeira well if you go into the web try strawberry world.com they do tours that pick you up from the ship I have been with them and we found them very good. We did best of the west you go to many places you would never think of visiting. Volcanic pools, Highest cliff, and you also get one hour in a village called Porto Moniz think thats what it was called, very beautiful island. And its cheaper than p&o. think it was about 25eur. Hope you all try this tour operator. regards Billy.
