| Is it too early to kick this one off?? Their are 5 of us all flying out from Manchester and looking forward to it. We have two 'old salts' in tow, two others who have sailed across the Atlantic before and then me -- This will be the furthest out in the Atlantic I'll have ever been. Does it get rough in March???? Keen to hear from anyone who has any views on Artemis and any experience on the flight from Manchester. Looking forward to it.

| Hi Stephen, I did the equivalent cruise this year on Artemis and if you go to the ships forum and have a look at Artemis you will find my blog from the cruise. We had fantastic weather and even the captain said it was one of the smoothest crossings he had even experienced. Also, if you click on the link in my signature, you will be able to see the photo's I took onboard and also the photo's I took onboard during my first time on Artemis last May. If I wasn't already on a cruise at the time of this one then I would consider booking for this cruise as I had such a good time this year. Feebee_71

| Appreciate that Feebee... Thanks for the pictures and here's hoping we can have as much fun as we did on Ventura last year... Who knows we might even meet up with some of the people we met last year as well...

| Hi Carol, glad to see there are more than just us going. Have you flown out of Manchester before? Have you been on Artemis before? Stephen

| Stephen, flown out of Manc many times. It's your bog standard airport. I recommend you book into the servisair lounge (or whatever its called now). Much better than trying to find somewhere to sit and you get snacks and drinks included. Not been on Artemis before but have done the Atlantic crossing a few times...I love the sea days plus the weather usually stays hot most of the way home. Very relaxing and there's plenty to do during the day if you need it.

| It was the best flight we have done, on that cruise this year. Walk into airport and straight up to checkin desk. Plenty of room on plane and lots of drinks, food was n't bad either. True it is a long wait to board and lounge is a good idea. I beleive checkin at heathrow was horrendous. Sue G.O.

| Thanks for that. We are looking for an airport hotel and the lounge, one thing I'm hoping someone can help me with is which lounge should I book? The airport say's there are 4 terminals... I think the hotel will either be the hilton or the radisson, both seem to be the closest..

| Stephen, the Radisson has a walkway connected to the airport so that is definitely the closest. The Hilton is ok too and The Crowne Plaza is right next to the airport and if I remember rightly has a pub attached to it . I usually book the lounge once I know which terminal I'm flying from...never had any problems leaving it until then.

| Hi All We are doing a back to back cruise being onboard the cruise before you and staying onboard for your cruise as well.We have done crossing before and normally weather been kind to us and only had one crossing of the atlantic that was rough. As for flight from Manchester we have got upgrade on flight for only £99 each one way and well worth it. Never been on Artemis before but really looking forward to it and meeting you all.
