I recommend this tour company. The coaches are great and the mini bus also very comfortable, the guides are very interesting and know all about the island. We have booked to go on the nuns valley trip this time. The bus picks you up from the ship and brings you back. Will be there on the 4th November on the Artemis. Regards Billy.

Billy,

Do you have a link to this company in Madeira as I haven't got anything planned for when I am there in November and I am interested in exploring more than is available through P&O excursions.

Hi feebee

The only link I've found is their web address :- www.lido-tours.com

I hope this will help.  As we're going to Maderia soon we were also looking for different excursions other than those provided by P&O.

Have a great time

Peter & Lyn,

Many thanks for the useful link.

The prices seem good.

I look forward to hearing what you think of the company as I am contemplating using them in November.

Hi to you all. The e.mail address I sent to book the tour is isa@strawberryworld.com

The isa is a tour rep at the office. She will send you an e.mail confirming the booking and then you pay by credit card which is not charged until you have taken the tour. Hope to see you on the ship. Best wishes.Billy.

Hi again had a e.mail today telling me the price, its now 15 EUROS each. Check the price with p&o, same trip except you get coffee or tea. and some eats. They will be picking us up at 08.30 at the ship. Excellent service. Billy.

Hi Billy,

Which P&O excursion are you comparing the Nuns Valley tour to?

Hi Feebee

Are you thinking of going on the Nuns trip?

Having never been to Madera before was wondering if it looked a good one to see some of the island.

And to go on it with a friendly face would be good.
