Hi everyone,
just booked on the A106a cruise, 19th March, 2011, from Birmingham. Really excited about it. Last cruise 10 years ago on a Airtours Cruise which my wife hated due to the small cabin etc. Finally convinced her to try once more, booked a balcony cabin on B deck, so hopefully she will not feel too hemmed in.
Read all the reviews for and against the Azura, but to be honest, I feel positive about it and can't wait.

| Hi Eddy and welcome to our forum. Nobody really knows what Azura will be like yet. I am sure though that she is going to be a wonderful ship. At least they will have had time to iron out any teething problems by the time you go. I don't think Mrs Eddy will have any problems with the bigger cabins on Azura and a balcony as well will be great. A long time to wait but when the time comes have a fantastic cruise.

| Dont take too much notice of these forums.....advice is very good, but opinions are so varied...We have been on Oceana twice and Ventura (not during school holidays) and do not recognise a lot of the critism levied at these ships. We are booked for Azura in Sept 2010. Have just come back from Independence of ther Sea.....that another story !!

| We are booked on this cruise, flying from Birmingham on the Friday. We're very excited about it - I think Azura is going to be fabulous. I can't see any reason to worry about lots of children on board as it is term time - nowhere near half-term and well before the Easter holidays. It is marketed very differently from Ventura and I doubt will appeal to many families in the same way. That said, we have cruised on Oceana on a similar cruise which encompassed half term and the atmosphere was lovely with quite a number of families with children. We have an aft cabin on D deck, we haven't had an aft cabin before and I'm really looking forward to relaxing on my balcony watching the wake! If you want sensible comment, useful, practical cruising assistance, and very little moaning, I suggest you use the Crow's Nest site rather than this one - I only come on here to check in with fellow cruisers on forthcoming cruises. Thankfully the meeting place and ships sections seem to be the most civilised ones!
Chris
