I don't understand why people seem to think it is some sort of mortal sin to say that they don't wish to share a formal dinner table with a child. Nobody has said they don't like kids just that they prefer not to have them at a dinner table in the main restaurant.

David apart from those I haven't met & yet to form an opinion of, at present anyone from the gang of bullies who try to intimidate people they don't approve of on this forum & young children.

One should also remember that there are parents of children who, having seen their children have high tea at 5.30pm and then seen them off to the supervised children/youth clubs/activities for the evening until up to midnight (depending on their age), when going down for dinner, may not welcome having to sit with someone else's 'darlings'.

It is not just folk who've done their bit of upbringing for 18 years (each child), the childless and the singles who may expect and require this.

DK, whilst I totally agree with your views, I think it's up to the involved parties.

For example, if I was dining with a child at the table that spoilt my experience, I would move tables rather than ban the child.

Don't think anyone has said anything about banning children.

Can a cruise be really suitable for a 3 and half year old ?

Go on the cruise, but leave the child with the grandparents, they will be delighted!

I daren't suggest a suitable Kennels, ( I am really joking! )

Enjoy what cruise you decide to book, but make it P&O!

John.

Second time cruiser, Arcadia, Norway & Iceland, 2009.
