Don't worry about the Ventura you'll love it!

We too did this cruise last year and we got a water taxi at every port as we love beaches. You do get hassled alot outside the port gates and the water taxi's were mainly inside them next to the ship.

As its your 1st cruise you might like to budget for photos.  They are quite expensive (£14.95) but they did a pack, 8 for £80 which weren't bad. Also you might want to budget for bingo, playing in the casino or visiting select dining that you have to pay for (white room, east or ramblers)

Coolrunnings is the one I think, I was told they just don't take cruise passengers any more. I will try to find out.

That is what their web site says and has done for over 12 months but we did the swim with turtles in December booked via the ship.

I was asking one of the guys on there about it and he wasn't aware of it but said he would mention it to HO , they are a very professional company in fact having done many catamaran trips in the Caribbean I have to say they are far superior to others.

Me and my husband are first timers on this cruise too, flying from manchester. Soooooo excited now if not only to see the SUN!!!!!

Been a long year waiting for this holiday - hope it's worth it.

I know how you feel re: boring your work collegues i am exactly the same.  Well, probably more annoying them now because all of their hols are over with. They keep teesing me for choosing to dine at a table of 10, because i am so chatty and outgoing they reckon that the next day everyone will avoid us! and there will only be the 2 of us at the table.........  tut tut  Jealousy!

oh well I will at least look th part in my new dresses even if my gob lets me down.

 ha ha!

Cool Running Cats

I have had a reply from Barbados, they think, & I say think, that the reason is the company are contracted in some way to the cruise industry & don't supply trips independently. Not sure as it wouldn't be ALL cruise lines surely & how would they know you WERE from a ship?

We did the Coolrunnings ship's tour, excellent, but as far as I know they no longer do independent bookings. Must be that either P&O book them for the day or that P&O have placed limitations on them.
