Hi D.K. etc, what is the form with white [well cream really] tuxedos ? MOH loves wearing his on every chance but I feel they are realy for the tropics or summer, not that I want to spoil his fun, and that he would be better with the black for eastern med. in November. The answer is, I suppose, take both, but he believes in traveling light,

wear either one, they are both smart.

Traditionally white was for the Trpoics, but life and fashion has moved on. You'll see both on formal nights.

I believe that white /cream DJ's should only be worn in the topics or maybe the Med, the exception being Black & white night, which to me almost borders on fancy dress for the men. I wear a black shirt for contrast on B&W night but would wear a white one on a normal evening if wearing the White/cream DJ.

If he is happy and comfortable --that is all that matters --it is the same with ladies who say -I hate long dresses --So wear cocktail length.

Thanks everybody, he gets to take the tux if he promises to wear the white shirts on all but the black and white night, but I still like a nice black dinner jacket! ----however he always says I look lovely even if the outfit is a bit mutton-dressed-as-lamb! So I let him have his way.

People do wear white DJ on normal formal nights, I think it's a bit tacky myself outside the tropics. Whatever next!! brown shoes after 6 pm??
