| Oriana closely followed by Aurora are by far and away the best ships well designed wrap around teak decks and a character unlike the huge monoliths that appear to be coming on line from all parts of the market. Oriana got me hooked on cruising years ago and has still got me. Cecil

| I agree with your view about Oriana and Aurora (Oriana just pips Aurora, in my view). Interesting what you say about today's "monoliths". That is exactly what people said about Oriana when she debuted in 1995, and that it was "not like the Canberra"!

Aurora, closely followed by Oriana and Arcadia, with only a piece of A4 separating them!

| I don't think there is a best or worst ... just a preference which is often (but not always) driven by your first experience of cruising. That is why I would expect older ships to have a bigger following ... simply because seasoned cruisers will 'compare' it with their 'favourite' ... it is basic human nature. After a couple of seasons each new ship will gather its supporters. I like Arcadia and Julies favourite is Oceana. I have not been on board Oriana or Aurora (yet) but there are aspects of their layout that seems 'cubicled' and maybe, in some areas, dated.
