| David gets a better price from the wholesaler in Manchester and they don't use a catalogue. It is more pot luck what they have in, although they have a massive warehouse. I have only been with him once before. He does also use Palgraves who deliver, and often tries others but still finds he gets a better deal by going himself to Manchester. He has found another 2 smaller but very cheap ones there as well. The ones he gets he can make a better profit on them, although, I sometimes think he sells his toys too cheap as he is cheaper than Tesco and Argos, but, he just says that it gets him his regular customers who know they get a good deal and he has a quicker turnover. Trouble is, it would be better if there was one over this side. Although I think the van knows it's own way there now. He spent £1,000 there less than 2 weeks ago, which was a lot less than usual, but most of that has already gone which is why we are going next week, probably for more than his last visit. He was extra tired then and he said they hadn't got some of just what he wanted. But, what he did get has gone so well. Mavis x

| I have had another e-mail from Margaret today and she is still reading the site and today she said she was pleased to see some extra names appearing on Adonia and glad we are keeping her afloat. She is posting on the Josephine Cox website. That is the site for an author she particularly likes. At the moment she is posting on there about her last cruise. Mavis x

| Yes, she read the paper from end to end. Not in the Obs, not had a baby, or got married, birthday, or special occcasion. She did get a birthday card last week from some mad lady in Brid, do you know her? Talking of obituries, we had some sad new today, a friend of my eldest son, was diagnosed with cancer in July, and she died yesterday. Only 58, and had bought a place in Spain for retirement. Makes you grateful for every day. I have had an easy day today, solicitors, bank, shopping for HOYS, consulting with bricklayers, all before 12.30. Walked home, had lunch, offered to take HOYS to garden centre, but she REFUSED! bet Colin would go. It is hissing down with rain here, I can hear it on the tin roof! HC x

| Darling: Isn't that IOTS a really big ship??? If you smuggle me on when you go they won't be able to find me because it is too big and I can speed out of the way if seen... Are there ramps up to the lifeboats to hide in????? You could smuggle me some morsels from the restaurant so that I don't make a noise with my stomach rumbling with hunger. he he he Pirate Me xx

| Yes, the rain is doing exactly the same here just now. Fancy refusing to go to the Garden Centre. Maybe she has got wind of our plan to fill up the greenhouse all around the sides so that nobody can see inside when I fly over to there.... Colin even asked David last Sunday when we were going to Hull if he would call at one of the garden centres on the way. Very cunningly, David said he would call on the way back as the garden centre would be staying open longer than the shops!!!!!!!!! We went straight from the town to Willerby for a meal. Colin had forgotten about the garden centre by then as he was tired and we had to wake him up so that I could get in with the ramps. Lady C xx

| Ps Yes it is a big ship, we got a bargain suite, bigger than Arcadia's and a LOT cheaper, in fact cheaper than a balcony cabin on P&O. IMO the food in the self service is far superior to P&O, but we get get a better idea when we are on it for 11 day, rather than 4. We are right next to the Conciege Lounge, where you get free drinks and canapes every evening! Night HC x
