Hi Folks

thinking of booking this tour, is it worth it,do you actually stop at a beach for a swim, I am aware with P & O you could to the sea bit first.

I had a look at Cosol Tours but at the end you seem to have a stop at a shopping centre which don't really want to do.

Any advise from passengers who have done this tour either with P & O or independently would be great

thanks

Anne & Richard

We did this trip a couple of years ago with P&O.  Apart from the overcrowding on the catamaran, which P&O acknowledged, we really enjoyed the trip.  We set off on the catamaran, anchored at a small bay for about 30 mins to swim before continuing the journey.  We then boarded a mini bus to the botanical gardens followed by lunch at a plantation.  We then boarded the coach to the smelly sulphur springs.  On the way back with great views of the Pitons we stopped at a small fishing village for about 30 mins before returning to the ship.

The downside to the day was queing to get back on the tender which was over an hour in the heat.  The problem was there was another ship in port and priority was given to them on the tenders so we had to wait and wait and wait.  The other slight downside was the number of people at the botanical gardens we were just hearded around.  I would do it again.

We did this trip a couple of years ago and rate it one of the best we have done.  One tip try to get down to the quayside early and make sure you get into the group that is doing the Land part first.  If you do the Sea part first you will end up sticky for the rest of the day.  We found by getting down to the quayside early we were able to ask the guide to put us into the group doing the Land bit first.  We did not experience any overcrowding on the Catamaran.  We stopped in one of the bays for about and hour for people to swim and snorkel.

The lunch, which we had in a Plantation restaurant, was lovely, lots of choice, and you could try more than one dish if you liked.  The restaurant had open sides and you could see all the lovely flowers.  We thought it was a great day and value for money.

We have done the Sea & See tour twice and have enjoyed it immensely on both occasions ... despite being abandoned in St lucia as the captain decided to bring the ship in rather than allow us on the tender.
