Yes you certainly will do really looking forward to this one me and the wife have been through hell the last few years and it will be a celebration for her and me for her it will be just over 10 years since she had a liver transplant (for a defective one  not booze related) and for me coz I still have her. Looking forward to seeing you there?

Hi, The worst aspect of this cruise is having to come back home. We have taken two and they are fantastic,

I would love to do a Christmas cruise...but work in retail where we are not allowed christmas off...also have elederly parents who expect a christmas dinner at my house...and children in their twenties who expect....christmas at my house....

Hubbies 60 next year, wonder when it will be our turn! (I have cooked xmas dinner and boxing day dinner for over 20 years for everyone, and would love a break!)

Dream on...

Sue - aka Libralass

Cruises in 2009 - May Oriana Canaries, July Celebrity Equinox Pre-Inaugural 2n cruise, August - Oceana Fjords.

Hi Sue, instead of cooking Xmas Dinner, why not let hubby use some of the Cruise money and treat you and family to Xmas dinner at a swish restaurant. From what you say it would make a nice change.

Sue

The last Xmas dinner I could was when my 23 year old son was 3 months old! If I wasn't basting the turkey, I was feeding him and changing nappies. I made the stupid mistake with having everyone to me (Mum, Dad, MIL, FIL, Brother & Sister in law x 2) having an excited 3 year old and the 3 month old. I did not see Natalie open her presents and I swore there and then that I would not be doing that again! I was very upset at missing out and back then I would not take any offers of help, wanting to do it all myself (because offers of help just make me feel inadequate)! The following Xmas we went to a hotel for christmas every year. But then in 1998 we did our first christmas cruise and have not looked back since! One year we gave cruising a miss and went to a hotel, but it was just (well want for a better word) ****, compared to our christmas cruises! In these hard times I would always do the Xmas cruise instead of going away in the summer if finances meant we couldn't do both. I stupidly booked us into a balcony cabin on Aurora next christmas, but am now wishing I'd booked an inside and also had a cruise booked for the summer! Oh well hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Now this Xmas is going to be very strange for me. DD will be working - BIL, SIL and young niece will be on Ventura, and DS is staying at home :-( Now I know that this day would come eventually, but I'm not really sure how I'm going to cope with it! I guess I will be very emotional on christmas day. Doesn't help that I'm at that time in my life where it doesn't take much to set me off ;-)
