Has anyone received the excursion booklet for P001, the trips have been online for 3 weeks, but no booklet as yet.  Possibly to do with the postal dispute, unless they have forgotten me.

Have read the ones online, but its nicer to see in the book, hubby says as we are doing the Amazon cruise, we really do need to do a river excursion, even though I dont fancy it.

Counting down the weeks now.  9 weeks saturday, cant wait for a holiday.

I suspect it hasn't even been produced yet, because it is not available as a PDF file, but only as the individual lists of trips.

Hi

No booklet yet, but I have looked up the tours online and booked them from there - took a while, and I agree that it is nice to see them in a glossy brochure, but at least all the detail is there on the website.  I wanted to be sure of getting on the tours we really wanted to do, so it was worth the time.

The only one I wanted to do but just couldn't fit in was a nature walk, but hopefully we do a bit of walking on a couple of the others, and get to see an Amazon village during the full day Amazon experience one. I was torn between doing two half day tours in Manaus to see more, rather than the full day Amazon Experience, but in the end decided that it was the best option, as there would have been very little time between getting back from the morning tour and going on the afternoon one - and if the morning one was delayed for some reason, we might have missed the second one.  It also worked out cheaper to book the full day rather than two half days, even with a lunch included, and soinded nice, I think we will see almost as much.  The tours are certainly not cheap in the Amazon, but this will probably be our only time here, so we are going to try to fit in as much as possible.

What has anyone else booked?  Nine weeks to go....

Cheers

Michele

I also want to make the most of the experience, and do not anticipate going back to the Amazon.

I have read out the trips to hubby, and he says 'whatever you think love', so think when he sees the brochure and can take it all in, think I might get a decision out of him.

I know the full day is a long one, but at least you get to see everything in one go, I am tempted with that one also.

Only 9 weeks, really excited now, started the xmas shopping, written all of my xmas cards ready, then after xmas its laying out the suitcases in the spare bedroom, and I can concentrate on holidays. June

I see the PDF for P002 is on the website, but the one for P001 is still missing.  Anyone got a printed copy yet?

Hi Mooshy,

I have just recieved my excursion book for P926 so we should be getting the book for second cruise P001 in about a weeks time.

Not long to go now, we are well ready for a break from the British weather.

Happy cruising.

Hi everyone,
The trips we have booked on are Grenada Highlights Half day,
Full day Amazon experience in Manuas,Tobago half day Alpine Falls and Santareem Nature tour.
We are mindfull we will probably never go up the Amazon again and want to make the most of the time when we are there.
Parantins only has one trip and we do not fancy it at all.
My wife and I are really looking forward to this cruise, our 2nd with P&O, so much so we can't wait to get Christmas and New Year out of the way.
Roll on the 9th January!!

Hi Donal,

It looks like we maybe tendering at Grenada, if you are doing the AM tour and want to do something after that, a fast boat to Grand Anse beach about 15min each way, you can have afternoon on the beach, other than that a nice walk round the town and a cool beer.

Your trips in Manaus,Tobago & Santarem are a good choice.

In Paratins, as you have not booked anything, go walkabout round the village and up to the Museum, the Museum is very interesting it tells the story of the Amazonian tribes ect, the people are very friendly in the village.

Hope this helps. Happy Cruising.
