| Weekend was a good time to catch up (I think that is beginning to be one of my most used phrases just lately) on some more jobs that were needing doing. Also, finished off designing, printing and sticking in the centre verses in the hand made Christmas Cards I have been making at the Day Centre for their funds. I wasn't there yesterday bcause I was 'gadding' about with David. Next week, I am at Scarborough hospital with Colin but, at least they are all done ready for when I go the next Monday to sell for Day Centre funds. Got some basket work done for the Visually Impaired Club ready for their Christmas Fair and the Craft Fair. It was quite a productive weekend really as we didn't go to Davids because he was working full time over the whole weekend (Scooter Lads Weekend in Bridlington) and I was seeing him all Monday. Of course, that also meant I didn't get in the office to do his work properly and he brought it round and left it all yesterday morning. Mavis x

| When there is a Scooter Weekend here, David likes to be at shop all the time. Not because of any trouble. They never get any at all. Just because they often get so busy. Friday, as David was just starting to get the shutters down a group of the Scooter crowd arrived. He said he would open back up for a few minutes if they wanted. Made about £100 from them in about 4 minutes...... Not bad, eh???? Mavis x

| Saturday night, we had a few Trick or Treaters round, and before we got ready for going to bed Colin went outside the front just to check everything was OK and the car was fine. He does this often on a night in any case. I think he expected all the sweet papers to be left down the path etc but I assume everything was OK. I thought he was never coming back in. Was just beginning to wonder if he was alright when I heard he was talking to the young man next door. They only moved in less than 3 months ago. He was outside until almost 1.30am chatting. And then they say us women talk too much!!!!!!!! While talking we got an invite to fireworks and supper for bonfire night. Don't expect we will be going though. I am at an exhibition all day on 5th and will be tired by the end of Friday without thinking of making small talk with the youngsters there. Nice to be asked though. Mavis x

| A week today I will have finished my non working work! Next Tuesday its take Mel to Nottingham for her check up, Wenesday down to Southampton, and Thursday its off on IOTS for a trip to the Canaries. HC x

| Darling: I agree it is a dangerous and dirty hobby, smoking. But, it keeps the shop very busy. All this about people stopping smoking but his sales definitely don't seem to go down. He is always having to go for extra from the Cash & Carry on top of his usual orders. Usually because visitors often smoke different varieties to the visitors from the week before so he has to keep topping up on whatever the current visitors use. Scooter weekends and the likes and everything is doubly ordered beforehand. Sorry to hear you had problems with the brickies...... It poured down here all day Sunday as well. Also most of today it was raining. Mavis x
