Yes, hubby got a card as B&Q is a regular haunt of ours. As you say, it doesn't cover kitchens. However, there are regular sales of units and doors so all you have to do is be patient and wait. We replaced all the doors in our kitchen with B&Q ones just buying the odd base unit here and there as required. The doors were 50% off when we started and as we progressed the base units started to be reduced as well. We saved a FORTUNE and the finished result is, if I say it myself, top notch. We even managed to find all the top and bottom edgings in the junk box for a fiver so I was well impressed.

I know some people treat the idea of a B&Q kitchen with utter derision but the product is only as good as the fitter. We would recommend them to anyone.

Hi JTD - well now I am quite disappointed - I misread the title of this thread and was hoping to read something enjoyable about a BBQ!  Sausages!

Cheers

.... Our B&Q is packed on Wednesdays .....

So is ours and that is only some of the bad news.

My advice is ..

*  If you are under 60 avoid B&Q on a Wednesday like the plague

*  If you are over 60 and have a card, or not, then go but remember to wear walking boots and shin guards. Also park far far away from the store entrance.

Remember at all times that some of these guys drive like they push their trollies.

Don't say you weren't warned.

We had our kitchen "done up" while we were away some new units some old but painted to match (took a door for a mix), conservatory now finished ..new windows left the roof & walls existing so now ...peace. Not flippin' likely heard a hissing noise under the dining room floor....mains pipe burst, had the water board out as the stop **** was jammed they couldn't release it so we are now waiting for them to dig up the road so we can turn off the water in order to get the pipe repaired..what joy!
