As you have not said which ship you are on I can only give some general information as there may be some minor differences between the ship.
The cyber studies have a number of PCs that are available for passengers to use - at a cost. The current chargers are £40 for 250 minutes, £21 for 100 minutes or you can PAYG at 30p per minute - plus an account activation fee of £1.95. There will also be offers available on certain days where you may get free time or addition minutes (T&C will apply)
One thing that you have to bear in mind is that the Internet link is via satellite which means two things; (a) it is very slow compared to what you are used to at home and (b) it is subject to an available signal and cannot be guaranteed.
How to keep in touch: Obviously if there is an Internet connection you will have all of the available Internet features, email, websites etc. As for web-cams - they certainly are not attached to all PCs and to be honest I cannot recall having seen them at all for general use - there may be one for "official" use. As I said before you are using a satellite link so the use of a web-cam with the likes of Skype is not really an option.
You can, of course, use your own laptop on board as there are several wifi hotspots around the ship but you will have to pay the same charges as above.
Other options: You can use this site for free when ob board so you can use the forum PM/email facilities for free.
The only other option is that you can use your mobile phone on board if it has international roaming enabled - but again the costs are quite high and you have the satellite connection issues.
David Remember: You only know what you know and- You do not know what you do not know!

Which ship are you on?
They all have internet, but it's quite expensive as it works via satellite.

This forum is free along with the entire P&O site, so one possibility is to get everyone you need to contact to register in here. Then you can use the PM facility to keep in touch
MegCruised: The Baltic, Norway, Canaries and 4 in the Med.
