I did this back in 2004 ex.HAL on the Volendam.

Extract from review:

===>

Day 5: Barbados – Bridgetown – morning excursion to swim with the turtles. Wonderful.
Then a ride on a “banana” and then bounced all over the place on an inflatable “Patriot”. Got a 2nd free ride when the operator said it’s even madder if you are the only one on board. He was right. In the afternoon went into Bridgetown – as it was Sunday all was closed and then it started to rain – warm rain and the only couple of showers we had on the whole cruise. – 5/5

Hi

When on Artemis at Honolulu we took a 40 min trip on a bus to a National park well past Waikki (forgive spelling) Beach, wonderful snorkeling and I swam with a turtle for over half an hour and have the picture to prove it.

We sawm with Hawksbill turtles on a P&O excrusion in Barbados.  We spent the morning on a Catamaran, swam with the turtles had lunch and then spent some time on a beach.  I think it was around the Paines bay area. Had a great day and for a P&O excursion quite reasonabally priced.

Hi Derek, when we went to the Caribbean in Nov 07, we was told rain is called liquid sunshine, i like the sound of that better than rain.

We did it in Barbados a couple of years ago. We stopped just off the beach near Sandy Lane hotel and went into the sea off the catermaran.

Have just done it this morning in Barbados Fantastic. Totally take JohntheDog's point about doing it with a small boat though - there were 44 of us on a catamaran, and 2 others of similar size moored at the same time, so it was crowded. Would be amazing to do it in a more solitary way! The tour was really well done though - company called Cool Runnings, and they were great fun. I'm a **** snorkeller but my 8 year old saw everything - turtles, shipwreck, reef plus loads of different fish. I just managed to gasp my way through the turtles!
