Are those who flaunt the 'badge' of the manufacturer/designer of their apparel
poseurs. I ask this question after seeing today an apparently affluent lady who had the hinge of her glasses designed as a D&G, and must admit that in MY opinion it appeared tacky.
It would also be interesting to note how long this post remains on topic.

In a lot of cases you have no option - short of cutting holes in the garment.

| Well, I don't know. Earlier this year I wanted a new pair of sunglasses. I saw some I liked in a magazine, but when I went to the opticians and saw them close up I could see all this diamante rubbish with the initials of the 'designer'. That put me off them immediately. If the logo had been more discreet I would have bought them - but I don't want to go around with bits of diamante! It's just not for me.

| Virtually every garment I have has the tailors' label inside the jacket, etc. I don't own trainers, "sports-wear" or anything built around a designer label. I have Phillipe Starck and a Prada pair of glasses but the logos are very discreet. I was more attracted by the design of the glasses then by the designer "name" I confess to wearing a few Kraftwerk logo'd t/shirts when at leisure. I wish rock concerts would have more white t/shirts as black ones are useless in the summer and I don't wear t-shirts in the winter.
