The bored out of their minds "elf & s" people have come up with yet another insane idea.
Just been reading in the paper that children on an organised school trip cannot paddle in ankle deep water unless "a full risk assessment has been done".
Let's just wrap the children in cotton wool and leave them in the house with a PC so that they can have a safe "virtual" world to live in. How will they ever learn what life is about if they cannot experience it?

| david, I stopped taking elf&safety seriously years ago with various instances e.g. policemen not allowed to wade out into 18" of water to save a life, policemen not allowed to change a punctured tyre on their car etc. etc. You got to love other countries whose residents in the main survive, sometimes better than we do, without the shackles of H&S.

...and the public bonfire night that wasn't allowed a real bonfire, so they showed a film of a bonfire on a massive screen ...yes, I'm telling you the truth...you couldn't make it up!
