Which of the Caribbean islands would you choose to visit if you could only visit one and why would you choose that island ?

Oh that's a tricky one!  I especially love

Bonaire - as it's less spoiled than many and had wonderful snorkeling.

Grenada - as it's probably the friendliest with the prettiest harbour.

Aruba - as it has a great cosmopolitan atmosphere.

But probably best of all I like the Grenadines - not one, but a group of islands, some of which are uninhabited.

I would pick Barbados. Not the prettiest of the islands but the people are so friendly (particularly Johhny Cool from Cool's Castaway bar on The Gap) and the way of life is nice and slow. I always feel at home there

Tortola would be mine.

Kane garden beach. Swimming with Pelicans diving around you. There is also the dolphin swim experience. Fantastic if you go as a family.

I love Bonaire and Tortola.

Bonaire is unspoilt and has fantastic snorkelling and Sarobonne beach is to die for as are the smoothies on the beach bar

Tortola, fantastic beaches and Virgin Gorda Baths nearby.

I wish I was there now...................

It would be Barbados for us, we found it the friendliest of them all. Plus of course there's always the chance to watch the Windies playing at the Kensington Oval!

Any comments with regards the Dominican Republic, the sister-in-law was not very impressed when she visited.

Aruba - for New Years Eve was special, never expected to be there as itinerary changed, fire crackers all day long and the biggest firework display you could imagine! flea b x

I couldn't pick my favourite as there are different things to each island.

We have been to five before and this year we will be revisiting four of them and a two we haven't been to before.

I think my favourite would have to be whichever old episode of "Living in the Sun" I was watching and which island they were showing properties for sale that week!

Last friday I saw two seperate episodes, one about Grenada and the other St Lucia. Torture lol
