I think all Caribbean Islands have their own individual charm , but my all time favourite would have to be Aruba ,someone has already mentioned the fire crackers on New Years Eve, this is quite spectacular , together with fabulous beaches , great shopping this would have to be my No:1 choice.

My other favourites would be:

Antigua - St Lucia - Grenada - Bermuda - Tortola -St Kitts - Bahamas - Tobago - Mayreau -St Maarten - Bonaire - Barbados - Dominica - Mexico - Jamaica - St Vincent- St Thomas ( fabulous for buying jewelery )

Least favourites are:

Quadelupe - Martinique - Panama ( although transitting the canal is fabulous ) Costa Rica - Grand Cayman.

There are still some Islands I would love to visit Trinidad especially ( P&O please note we need a bit of variation on the Xmas Caribbean )

To be honest it is not particularly the destinations that appeal to us we would be quite happy just sailing up and down the Solent for 2 or 3 weeks (just as long as the weather was ok )

Jamaica. Best beaches ever and so laid back you might fall over, not to mention the cocktails on the beach.

I have enoyed the experiences of the different Isles but have not found one that I would like to spend a whole week or 2 there, so for me this has shown that a caribean holiday is not for me!

Dominica (The Windward Island, not the eastern half of Hispanolia) and St Kitts were particularly memorable.

Good question Derek!

At the moment I would have to say St Maarten.  Purely because we had the most memorable day there!  I rode a horse on a beach and into the sea and will never forget the experience!!  We found a fab beach bar and could have stayed there all day. sadly we found it too late in the day to do that!!

Also I cannot remember being hassled at all there. not like St Lucia and Grenada where I was just so glad to get back on the ship.  I remember Grand Anse Beach on Grenada with a little tinge of sadness, the vendors just did not leave us alone and I dont like that at all. St Lucia because again there was always someone ready to take money from us and that spoiled it for me!!

We are off to all 3 islands again this November (but a lot of others as well besides) and have erred on the side of caution and booked excursions for Grenada and St Lucia to try and hang on to some of our money!!

I love them all.  I couldn't pick one specific one.  They each have their own personality.  Can't wait to get out there again this Xmas!
