At dinner I drink wine, and I'm looking forwards to these famous cocktails of the day, but is it normal for women to be seen with a pint of lager in the late night bars/theatre/clubs? Would I be looked down on for doing so? Just wondered, though I'd happily give it a miss for ten days.
Thanks,
Amy

| In truth I can't say I've ever noticed a female drinking a pint on board, but if that's what you like to drink - go ahead. I don't drink much alcohol, so I'm often seen with large glass of diet coke and that doesn't bother me. Have a great time.

| Hi Amy! I know P&O won't care as long as you Spend, Spend, and Spend again!!!! As for what other people think-if you worry about them..........? Personally I have not seen pints on the main restaurant table, but on the Indian themed evenings on Oriana and Aurora I have had a large Cobra beer to wash it all down, or I have also seen women in the sports/traditional bars on board drinking pints-so it's upto you. | I drink pints of bitter and no one was at all bothered when I was on Artemis recently. And if anyone was - stuff 'em and then grab a pint for other hand. ;-)

| Hi Amy I'm with you girl. I do'nt drink wine so I'll stick with a dainty half pint (of shandy) at the table but later on I'll probably ruin the image with a pint or two!!!!!!! Jan

| I would never buy a lady a pint. If she's thirsty I'd buy her two halves.

| I'm in a bit of a quandry over this Freedom Dining lark. Trying it for the first time next month and am starting to fret. Imagine the scenario. No tables available so we have been given a pager and return to the bar (no problem there) to await the call. I've just started a fresh pint and the pager calls. What do I do? Do I walk through the restaurant clutching my pint (not at all sure about this)? Do I neck it back in one before entering the restaurant? Do I abandon my drink for fear of losing the available table? Do I send Mrs.M ahead to occupy our table whilst I supp up at a civilised pace? Any advice would be welcome.
Happy Cruising
