ARB:

One is free to wait until arriving at table before perusing a menu.

However, the sommeliers, unlike a fine shoreside restaurant, are very overstretched in the main dining rooms, and the service, especialy if one enjoys a variety of wine at dinner, is improved by employing the wine-line.

Yes, life is a real hoot for me, and judging by the many miserable faces I see on cruises (the sucked lemons look), I feel very fortunate.

Susan,

On all our cruises, we have never seen bottles or glasses left on stairways. Hope it is just a Ventura thing.

Hi Amy.

My wife will occasionally have a pint, usually around one of the pools (but she never tells her Mum)

Regards.

Alan.

Slightly off topic perhaps but on a rival cruise line i was interested to see how many couples found it difficult to finish off a bottle of wine at dinner and asked for it to be taken away for the following night. Yes.....Ok ......[Stands up] "I Am An Alcoholic"

I usually have three bottles at dinner between the two of us (1W,1R & 1 Sweet) and carry over the remaining halves to the second night.

Corkage for BYO is £10 and is only charged once per new bottle proffered.
