Looking for others on the cruise so we can countdown together and general chit chat. First cruise read all reviews and panicking made bad choice due to mostly negative reviews.  I am a great believer in finding a silver lining in every opportunity so will after spending thousands of pounds enjoy ourselves. It is our first holiday without our daughter  she is at uni now so will be bittersweet. Looking for romance with my husband and relaxation I work with children so looking for a quiet time hope that by cruising in November will avoid the negatives described in most reviews about children.

Understand your worry . as a regular cruiser I personally would not at this time let the pad press and comments put yourself off .  the itinary looks very good, and cruising the caribbean in november is very pleasant . plus I'm sure it will provide a very romantic backdrop.to your first cruise. there should'nt be too many children on board . as its not a holiday period for schools . but children on board are in my experience very well behaved .And as its a family ship do's help keep the general age group younger. you will off coarse see a very good cross section of people onboard which in my opinion is good. Just set out to make the very best. of the holiday don't listen too much to the wingers ... mix and enjoy what the ship and the caribbean have too offer. we "our family" and friends we are going with are all looking forward to this cruise.... hope this helps

PS  P&O should have sorted all those problems out I'm sure

Hi Sarah

we are also on this cruise board on the 6th, can't wait as this is also our first cruise. Like yourself I have read all the reviews and have to say that some of them not so good but others excellent. We are very open minded I am sure that we will not be disappointed. We are due to celebrate our silver wedding when away and will be in Tortola that day. As for being your first holiday without your daughter I have to say that this will be our 3rd year without our kids(although they are both adults now but still our kids) and we both still miss having them on holiday with us. I am sure there will be lots of opportunity for romance.

Still some time to go until November but already planning clothing etc particulary the formal evenings, a bit limited given the baggage allowance, but I am sure I will overcome this hurdle.

First Cruise Ventura N926.  So Excited

Anne & Richard
