You'll probably find on a fly-cruise the passenger age profile is younger than a cruise from Southampton, as generally the ...er ...more mature people often prefer not to fly.

I'm on Artemis in July for the first time.  Before now I've not considered Artemis as an option, due to my own preconceptions about the ship.  But I really want to do the Round Britain cruise, so I'm getting rid of any negative thoughts so I can sail with an open mind

Roll on July !

Poor you Feebee, you really deserve your holiday. I am on this because of FOOTBALL.He will have withdrawal symptoms when we go.Had a reply from cosul, with the promise of the  free mobile bar. Yippee, may even go in the water with that. Last time that happened we did some pole dancing on the coach, but was 5 years ago, may be past it now.G O Sue

We have recently returned from a cruise on The Artemis sailing from Southampton.  My husband is in his mid 40's and I'm in my early 50's and whilst there were a handful of people younger than us and some our age the majority were older.  However, we met, and made friends with, some really lovely people and had a very enjoyable and interesting time in their company.  I can understand your trepidations as ours were similar before we cruised but remember it's not how old you are but how old you feel and most of the people on board in their 60's, 70's and 80's could definitely give us a run for our money.  I hope that in ten, twenty or thirty years time I will be as entertaining as they were.  The ship had a very happy and friendly atmosphere.  I hope that you will be as fortunate as us in the people you meet on board and have a wonderful time.

Since my last post on this thread we have been on Artemis & really liked her, something about the ship. Cabins are small but that was the only thing. Odd vibration/shudder though.
