Your tour begins with a scenic drive to the Chacchoben Ruins, during which your guide will offer interesting information about the area and what you can expect to see at the ruins. The site of Chacchoben covers approximately 10 acres and is surrounded by lush vegetation. The excavated portion of the site is small and has 1 main pyramid and several other small buildings to explore.

Your guide will point out the detailed Mayan temples and walk you through the surrounding manicured gardens. You’ll be able to compare the recently excavated ruins and the un-excavated ones, which lie sleeping beneath the sacred ground of this Mayan site.

A refreshment of water or soda will be offered during your tour.

Upon arrival at the Kohunlich Mayan Ruins, your guide will walk you through this incredible site, bringing the ancient ruins to life. Kohunlich is tucked away in a secluded jungle near to the border of Belize, almost as if it had been lost.

The ruins are spread over a wide area and encompass a broad range of architectural styles – from the wide lawns of the ball courts to the high temples with sculpted masks. The dwellings of the social elite are found in the higher elevations, where they are afforded wonderful views over the tropical jungle.

In today’s world, Kohunlich’s broad range of architecture, natural beauty and seclusion sets it apart from the more widely-toured sites.

In order to allow you to see as much as possible, a light snack box will be offered during the coach ride.

Enjoy the natural beauty of Mexico by ATV (quad bike). After a short instruction and safety briefing it’s time to hop on your ATV to begin your adventure. You’ll head out from the port of Costa Maya and after a short ride you’ll venture off road into the wilderness. Your exhilarating ride will take you along narrow paths of tropical vegetation.

You’ll continue onto the coastal road and head to a secluded beach, where you can relax and take a refreshing dip in the inviting waters.

Afterwards, you’ll board an open air Kodiac truck for the return drive to the port.

Your discovery into Mayan life and culture begins with a visit to a small, contemporary Mayan community built around the remains of an ancient Mayan settlement. You’ll see one of the fascinating Mayan ruins located in the centre of the town as your guide explains aspects of Mayan history.

This tour allows you access to an authentic Mayan House, where you’ll learn about the local food and ancient medicines. Experience the life of a local family and see how they continue to use the Mayan language, customs and beliefs with a modern day twist.

During the visit to the Mayan House, you’ll be offered unlimited beer or soft drinks and invited to sample some of the wonderful Mexican cuisine, including traditional Pibil chicken, guacamole, salsa and handmade tortillas.

At the Uvero Beach Club you can relax on the powdery white sand beach among the palm trees. Join in some of the fun water activities using the equipment provided; pedal your way out to sea or just lie-low.

Take advantage of the open bar, which offers all your favourite Mexican drinks. The resort also offers some delicious Mexican snacks for you to purchase if you are feeling peckish.

On this tour, you decide the duration. Return times back to the ship will be advised on board.

After a quick briefing, you’ll be issued with your safety gear, hop on your bike and begin the adventure.

As you ride south along the road, you’ll have wonderful views of the coastline en route to the small village of Mahahual. See how this relatively sleepy town has adapted to the modern world whilst retaining some of its original rustic charm.

After a leisurely ride, you’ll reach a local beach, where your kayaks will be waiting. Enjoy a short rest and a refreshing bottle of water; then get ready to board your 2-man ocean kayaks and head out to sea. As you paddle along a nearby reef, take in the views of palm-lined beaches against the bright azure blue of the sea.

After your kayaking adventure, it’s back on the bike for the return ride to the ship.

Enjoy a scenic drive on an open-air zodiac truck from the port to the beach, where your snorkelling experience will begin.

The location provides easy access to the water, making this suitable for novice snorkelers as well as the more experienced.

Upon arrival, your guide will provide a safety briefing and instruction before taking you out into the water. You’ll commence in the shallow waters, where nature has provided the perfect refuge for young sea life, before continuing on to the nearby reefs. Look out for the many tropical marine species including Parrot Fish, Butterfly Fish or Angel Fish.

Afterwards, you’ll return to the beach and enjoy a complimentary bottle of water, before the return drive to the port.

Setting off from the port, you’ll take a scenic drive to the beach to join your snorkel boat. After a safety briefing and instruction, you’ll ride out to the first snorkel reef. Sit back and relax on board and take in the lovely surrounding scenery. Upon arrival, you’ll take to the water and follow your snorkel guide, looking out for coral formations and marine life along the way.

Once back on board, your boat ride will continue to the next coral reef where you can discover more of the colourful underwater world.

Afterwards you can relax some more, as you take the boat ride back to the beach for your return taxi to the port.

Take a short drive to Mahahual Beach, where your kayaking adventure begins. You’ll be given a safety briefing before boarding your ‘double clear kayaks’. These unique kayaks seat 2 people and have a window to the wonderful watery world within the bottom of the kayak.

As you paddle away from the shore, take in great views of the tropical coastline of Costa Maya. Discover an array of marine life from coral formations to tropical fish, as you look down through your kayak.

After your kayaking adventure, you’ll be offered a refreshment, before enjoying some time to spend at your own leisure on the beach. Relax on the white sands or take a refreshing swim, before it’s time to head back to the port.
