Le Verdon

From Le Verdon, drive south along the Route des Châteaux. Your route runs between the Garonne River and the Landes Forest, passing through the gently undulating vineyards. En route a short photo-stop will be made to admire one of the picturesque châteaux.

The highlight of your tour will be the visit to a famous Médoc Château. Upon arrival you will be guided through the estate’s cellars, filled with barrels and bottles of fine wine. You’ll learn the wine making process and have an opportunity to sample a recent vintage, experiencing the distinct taste of Médoc’s finest.

The return drive will allow you to enjoy more of the charming vineyard countryside, before arriving back into Le Verdon.

Set off along the famous château road which offers views of the picturesque vineyard countryside. En route a short stop will be made for you to admire one of the châteaux.

Bordeaux has been officially included on the list of UNESCO world heritage sites in recognition of its architectural heritage. It is home to one of Europe’s largest architectural urban areas, covering half of the city, from the outer boulevards to the banks of the Garonne River.

Upon arrival into Bordeaux a brief panoramic city drive will show you the city highlights prior to disembarking for your independent exploration. During your free time you may choose to indulge in some shopping, visit one of the many museums or simply stroll through the streets and enjoy the ambience. Sample some of the local French cuisine in one of the many restaurants or relax with a drink in a café and simply watch the world go by.

After your visit, re-join your coach at the designated time and place for the return journey to Le Verdon.

Bordeaux has been officially included on the list of UNESCO world heritage sites in recognition of its architectural heritage. A panoramic city drive will show you some of the architectural highlights including the belfry of the old medieval town hall and the stunning Grand Theatre.

A delicious lunch will be served in a local restaurant in Bordeaux with some free time to follow.

The return drive will take you to the delightful resort of Soulac to enjoy some free time. Stroll down the Rue de la Plage, the main pedestrian street, or visit the 12th century basilica of Notre-Dame de la Fin de Terres. Afterwards, re-join your coach for the short return drive to Le Verdon.
