Witch’s Retreat - BEST SELLER

Take a trip to Rose Hall, one of the most famous residences in Montego Bay, steeped in history, myths and legends.

Rose Hall is the largest existing plantation great house in the Caribbean. This Georgian mansion was home to one of the most bewitchingly beautiful women on the island, Annie Palmer, the White Witch of Rose Hall. Annie is reported to have been alluring and dabbled in voodoo practises, tortured slaves, murdered 3 husbands and several lovers before meeting her fate at the hands of one of her own slaves.

Built of hand- cut stone in 1760, this great house was damaged during the 1831 slave rebellion and unoccupied thereafter, perhaps due to the ghost of the White Witch. Rose Hall has been meticulously restored to reflect its former glory in the days of the British Empire.

After a tour of the house, you can relax in Annie’s Pub formerly the dungeon, and sip some witches brew – a house special, before returning to the ship.
