Highlights and Folklore - BEST SELLER

Take in the highlights of Tobago and its scenic vistas, and then enjoy a local folkloric show depicting island life.

Enjoy a drive to Scarborough, nestled at the foot of the surrounding hills, and venture up to Fort King George. As well as being one of the island’s major historical sites, the Fort offers magnificent views over the east of the island and, on clear days, across to Trinidad.

You’ll continue to Plymouth and on to Fort James, which affords wonderful views over Great Courland Bay and is home to the tomb of Betty Stiven, dated 1783. The Mysterious Tombstone inscription defies interpretation and local legend has it that it was a riddle giving the location of pirate treasure. During the stop, take a look at the inscription and see if you can solve the mystery.

Afterwards, you’ll head along the Caribbean coast through Mount Irvine Bay Resort via the highway. You’ll enjoy a brief stop at the popular tourist resort of Store Bay before arriving at the Fairfield Complex. At Fairfield you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing fruit or rum punch, before enjoying an entertaining local folkloric show. This colourful production brings alive the local life and cultures of Tobago.
