An opportunity to discover the popular Island of Ixtapa.

Enjoy a drive through the port town of Zihuatanejo, and on to Ixtapa, home to many 4 and 5 star luxury hotels. Continue to Playa Linda, where you’ll board a local ‘panga’ for a 5 minute ride to the Island of Ixtapa.

Around half of the island is a natural reserve where interesting wildlife can be seen. This is your chance to experience the Pacific Ocean with a nearby pristine reef, beautiful sandy beaches and the fresh, local cuisine.

You’ll find plenty of local restaurants on the island where you may wish to purchase a snack or refreshment, or perhaps swim and enjoy the underwater marine life.

During your tour a soft drink refreshment will be offered.

Petatlan

Visit a town full of tradition and ancient customs, and which also plays host to the most important gold market in the area.

Enjoy a drive to the old city of Petatlan, which contrasts with the popular tourist resorts of Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa. Here, you’ll visit the famous Father Jesus Catholic Church, surrounded by trees and adjoining the Town Square. People from all over Mexico and the world come here in search of miracles linked to the patron saint.

A stop will be included at the gold market, where artisans manufacture all their own jewellery and sell these unique products to passers-by. From the downtown area you can see the City Hall, the Church and the Culture House. Also in Petatlan you’ll see many of the artifacts that were removed from the ancient site of ‘La Soledad de Maciel’ to avoid looting.

During your visit to Petatlan, a soft drink refreshment or beer will be served.

Catamaran Sail and Snorkel

Enjoy the beautiful coastline of the Mexican Riviera on this delightful catamaran sailaway.

Climb aboard the Picante, a sleek catamaran for a trip to Manzanillo Beach, a beautiful spot on Mexico’s Western Pacific coast. Once underway, you’ll leave the Bay of Zihuatanejo, travelling along the coast and past the Garrobo lighthouse. The boat will drop anchor off the beach and you can snorkel, enjoy a refreshing swim or simply relax on deck.

During your stay, the crew will serve snacks and refreshments, before sailing back to Zihuatanejo Bay. Please note that Manzanillo Beach is accessible only to experienced swimmers.

Scenes and Country Life

Discover life in the countryside and the surrounding scenery of Zihuatanejo.

Enjoy a panoramic drive through Zihuatanejo and into the rich countryside.

Your tour will take you to a tropical fruit plantation, which produces the region’s mango, grapefruit and coconut. You’ll also visit a small open-air terracotta tile factory. Discover how floor tiles and bricks are made as local artisans show you the ancient time honoured methods of their craft.

Afterwards, you’ll head to Barra de Potosi Beach where the local fishermen cast their nets into the lagoon. Here you can relax in the shade of the Palapa Restaurant, as you are served a refreshing drink. Perhaps enjoy a stroll along the secluded beach, before the return drive to Zihuatanejo.
