Picture perfect

21/09/2016

A photo of you with your ship makes a great souvenir, and sometimes selfies just aren’t up to scratch. Luckily, we’ve got the technology to help you capture the moment in style

Our clever new photography set-up will help you create a personalised souvenir of your holiday

With all the ships in the P&O Cruises fleet now sporting their smart new livery, guests are increasingly keen to snap a picture of themselves with their floating home in the background. But even with the world’s best selfie stick to hand, it can be very difficult to find a port location that will enable you to get that ideal angle.

This is where our new ‘green screen’ technology can help you out. Instead of squinting into the sun standing by a partially obscured ship, you can have your photo taken at your leisure on board by expert photographers, in front of a plain background. This image of you is then superimposed on to a professional shot of your ship, and in just two steps you’ll have a photo in which both you and your ship are looking your best.

‘Green screen’ technology has been used for many years to create scenes and effects for Hollywood blockbusters, and now it’s your chance to be the star of the show. It may seem like magic to the first-timer, but it really couldn’t be easier for you to take home that perfect shot. This amazing facility is now available on board all our ships, so look out for a ‘green screen’ session on your next cruise and take your chance to create a personalised souvenir of your holiday.

Green screen photos are just one element of the fantastic photography opportunities you’ll find on board. From black tie portraits to camera lessons and private studio lessons, find out more about what is available on board.
