Jenny Hadley meets guests who have combined a stint on Aurora’s Full World Cruise with other adventures

James & Brenda Lacey

James & Brenda Lacey

Sydney to Dubai

James, 64, and Brenda, 63, are from Hampshire.

‘We’ve cruised with P&O Cruises many times and this trip was a great way to tie in visiting family with a cruise. We flew out to Melbourne three weeks early to spend time with the family, including all the grandchildren. Then we came across to Sydney to catch up with a cousin and embark Aurora. We chose this part of the journey as we were keen to see the Far East and, with time in Australia too, it ticked all the boxes. The highlight for us was visiting the Great Wall of China.’

Haydn & Sandra Ashley

Haydn & Sandra Ashley

Brisbane to Southampton

Haydn, 76, and Sandra, 69, from Queensland, Australia are both retired.

‘We’ve cruised with P&O Cruises for many years and used this as a way to get from Australia to the UK. We spend six months of the year in Australia and six months in the UK and, because we love traditional British ways, we like to use P&O Cruises. Haydn worked in Hong Kong for an airline 40 years ago, and we were very excited to return to explore the city again. As would luck would have it, our son also flew in on business and we were able to meet up. A highlight was the harbour cruise in Hong Kong as we were able to see where the old Hong Kong airport was and how that space has been developed.’

A Full World Cruise combines adventure, exploration and relaxation all into one special voyage that will leave you with magical memories for years to come.
