Excellent service, interesting ports and wonderful memories - well done!
The embarkation process at Southampton was swift and we were in our cabin/down for a bite to eat in no time at all. On our return to the cabin, our cases had arrived to help us unpack early that afternoon. The Captain kept us informed each day and, especially when there were issues with tendering operations, we were updated as/when changes to information happened - this was very welcome. Due to issues experienced with tendering operations, we were late leaving on our tour to the Cinque Terre. Unexpected repair work was taking place on the Pier and our boat trip became a trip on a pubic train. Betty from the tour company was excellent, a very organised person. However, Mario (her colleague) was a very poor communicator, ineffective and downright disorganised; it was a wonder we all arrived back to catch the coach back to the ship! When the time came to move the clocks back an hour, these were changed on the evening of our way back. This gave us an extra hour, just before we docked at Southampton to prepare to leave and this was very welcome, as we were not rushed that last morning on the ship - getting breakfast, etc was far more leisurely. We enjoyed the quality and range of food, and excellent service provided in the main dining room from Jean and Richard to Table 10. The ports we visited were very interesting. Although we could not get into Cagliari, due to concerns about the weather, the Captain was swift to advise us of her change of plan and the reasons for her decision. When we encountered rough weather later that day, it brought the point about the safety of the ship/everyone on board home to us. The types of entertainment provided by guest artists was more varied this time and we appreciated that. The fact that Georgie from the Entertainment Team gave us a 1/2 hour of Tap Dancing on sea days was great too - wish I'd known to bring my shoes! I enjoyed the watercolour painting classes as well. We didn't go to any of the talks as they were from a Prison Governor and they did not appeal. Our Cabin Steward Mario was fantastic! He joined in with our celebrations of being together 20 years. He made sure he had made us smile when we came back to our cabin each time, every day. He was the best we have experienced in the seven cruises we have taken with P&O!

Perfect short break with friends
I’ve been on a lot of cruises, Britannia is one of my favourite boats. The ship is simply stunning, the facilities amazing and the staff always helpful and friendly. Nothing is ever too much trouble. My only ‘compliant’ is the vegan food in the main restaurant - it is never as good and the choice never as plentiful as the buffet. A few of my vegan meals were pretty awful so I ended up nipping upstairs to the buffet whilst my friends are in the dining room! But I didn’t starve so I can’t complain!

Staff always very pleasant and service in the freedom dining excellent. Prices of drinks a little on the high side to previous cruises. Was very disappointed with the spa. I was told I could have 15 minutes extra free on the first sea day if I booked it there and then. I went to book the treatment 10 minutes later and was then told this was only available at 8.00 a.m in the morning. I booked the treatment anyway without the free minutes. After I had the treatment the therapist then told me she had added 10% for her tip. Why was this? The tips had all ready been put on our account. I should have complained at the time.

Long wait for lifts and no central staircase
Insufficient lifts resulting in long waits for lifts. At least 3 lifts were out of use, no central staircase increased the problem. Excluding theatre entertainment, the other venue's entertainment was poor, too many quizzes no game shows a little live music. Our stateroom was excellent and the steward was excellent. Standard of food in main restaurants not as good as previous experience on P & O ships

Cabin was clean and tidy loved the TV with films. Food was excellent we booked late sitting in the restaurant. When we arrived to be told we were freedom dining so had to queue. Latter part of the cruise had to ask for wine, and bread. Tried 3 times to get into theatre only to full never had problem on 7 previous cruises with other lines. As for booking again with p&o????

Fairly good.
WE loved the cruise but a bit disappointed with one of the booked trips as to rushed about and not enough time to view every thing and heavy traffic jam when trying to get to the old city in Dubrovnik will now have to arrange another trip to see the old city !!.
