Head off on an intriguing cultural adventure in the Baltic

The Baltic Sea is framed by countries, each boasting a rich cultural heritage, as well as an intriguing blend of artistic periods and styles. It’s an intriguing place of ancient cities, story-book castles, deep, dark forests, and magically empty – yet magnificent – scenery. Perhaps fairy tales may come true here?

Relax at sea on Arcadia, before arriving in Skagen, a radiant town of colourful clapboard homes, beautiful rugged landscapes and rich art heritage. Then, enjoy the excitement of our maiden call to Fredericia. Denmark’s first planned city, its pedestrianised shopping areas, cafés and beautiful sandy beaches all easily accessible by foot. On to Klaipėda, brimming with bays and beaches, and a lovingly restored old town. Helsinki is the capital of cool. Grab brunch, before pottering around the inspiring design district, filled with trinkets and temptation.

And, so you arrive for two unforgettable days in imperial St Petersburg. Its awesome grandeur, and treasure trove of art and artefacts, is truly staggering. You can’t help but marvel at the riches of the Hermitage, the opulence of the palaces and the beauty of the Tsar’s gardens.

In Gdańsk, wander the pedestrianised Old Town, shop or enjoy a coffee. Oslo is awash with rich Viking heritage, frescoed 18th century houses, vast parks, and shimmering lakes. Kristiansand with its old quarter, Blue Flag beach, vibrant cultural life and excellent shopping offers a charming last stop before setting sail for home.
