All you need to know to get started

If you’ve never been on a cruise holiday before, the choices may seem a little confusing; once you have decided where you want to go, you then need to choose which ship to travel on – but how? The best way to think about our ships is in the same way you’d think about hotels – every hotel has a different feel and offers slightly different facilities. The trick is to pick the feel and facilities that suit you best.

Which ship is right for me?

Below you’ll find details of all seven ships in our fleet and discover that they vary in size from the relatively diminutive Adonia to our largest ships, Azura and Ventura. All seven ships offer a wide variety of facilities – Ventura and Azura each offer 788 seat theatres for example. Whilst Arcadia and Oriana offer luxury cinemas, and Adonia boasts a cosy library complete with fireplace and stained glass roof.

All of our ships are decorated to different styles throughout, so you should take some time to decide which suits your personality the best.

Our ships exclusively for adults

Welcoming passengers aged 18 and over, our exclusively for adults ships offer an air of sophistication and relaxed elegance. Entertainment and shore excursions are tailored to more adult tastes. And whilst the ships still buzz with excitement, you’ll also find areas that are quieter – perfect for relaxing as you watch the world go by.

Adonia - a real discovery
Exclusively for adults, smaller ship

The smallest of our seven ships, Adonia is designed to offer a delightfully intimate cruising experience. Radiating small ship charm, she carries just 710 passengers. What this means is that in no time at all you’ll experience the cruising camaraderie that comes with being surrounded by friendly, familiar faces.
Arcadia
Exclusively for adults, mid-size ship

Exclusively for adults, Arcadia offers a relaxed pace, stylish surroundings and more than a hint of extravagance to P&O Cruises. Arcadia’s signature features such as her exterior glass-fronted lifts and expansive art collection, featuring no less than 3,000 works of art, create a sophisticated air.
Oriana
Exclusively for adults, mid-size ship

With her signature tiered stern decks, Oriana cruise ship is elegant and attractive. She has been specifically designed to suit British tastes; the broad teak promenade and lido decks are great for sun bathing and watching the world go by.

Our family-friendly ships

Our family-friendly ships welcome passengers of all ages. These ships offer a free children’s club, called The Reef, which is divided into four age appropriate clubs – catering for children aged from 2 to 17. The clubs are staffed by fully trained and CRB checked teams of Reef Rangers who will organise fun activities throughout the day and evening. We also offer family friendly shore excursions and entertainment on board to allow you to really enjoy your holiday as a family.

Aurora
Family-friendly mid-size ship

Aurora is a mid-sized cruise ship, instantly recognisable thanks to her elegant tiered stern. Like Oriana, Aurora is designed as a classic ocean going vessel and is therefore ideally suited to world cruising.
Azura
Family-friendly, larger ship

Azura is one of the largest cruise ships in the P&O Cruises fleet. Azura offers an incredible choice of bars, restaurants, sports and spa facilities and entertainment, plus lots of other exciting and unique features.
Oceana
Family-friendly, mid-size ship

Oceana is a mid-sized cruise ship with a particularly stunning atrium that creates a real ‘wow’. Her bars, restaurants, shops and lounges have been designed to flow seamlessly through the ship and this makes for a sociable and informal atmosphere with P&O Cruises.
Ventura
Family-friendly, larger ship

Ventura is one of the largest cruise ships in the P&O Cruises fleet. Ventura is where you’ll find an incredible choice of facilities from bars, restaurants, a sports court, spa and theatre.
