If we are travelling alone, who will witness our wedding?
Your ceremony must be witnessed by two adults, aged 18 or over. If you do not have any witnesses travelling with you, two members of the ship’s company will be pleased to act as witnesses on your behalf.
Is it possible to have our wedding ceremony out on deck?
Your wedding will take place in one of our dedicated wedding venues on board. Due to health and safety restrictions we are unable to perform weddings on the open decks.
Is it possible to have our wedding ceremony ashore?
Under Bermudian law we are only able to conduct wedding ceremonies on board our ships. All wedding ceremonies are conducted on sea days as our ships must be 12 miles off shore for your ceremony to be legally recognised.
We would like a professional photographer to attend my wedding. How do we arrange and pay for this?
All photography packages can be arranged and paid for once you join your cruise. Prior to your wedding, you will be offered a private meeting with the ship's photographer to discuss your individual requirements. The cost of your individual photographs or photography package will be charged to your on board account.
We would like our bridesmaids to carry bouquets. Is this something that can be arranged?
Our ships' florists can provide bridesmaids' bouquets. If you would like to order these, please ensure this is detailed on your planning form.
Do P&O Cruises provide songs and readings for our ceremony or will we need to arrange this personally?
Although we provide traditional wedding music for the ceremony entrance and signing of the register, you are welcome to provide your own music on CD if you would prefer. You may like to arrange for a member of your wedding party to read a piece of poetry or prose during your ceremony. If you would like some ideas for either readings or music, we can send you a booklet entitled 'Collection of Verse and Music for your Civil Marriage'. Please indicate if you would like this on your Booking Form (a small charge applies). Please note that, as with all civil ceremonies, your selected music and readings must not be of a religious nature. Should you choose a reading or your own music for your ceremony, you will need to bring your selected reading and/or music with you on your cruise.
We are travelling on a Southampton to Southampton cruise. Are we able to bring our own cake and flowers with us and store them on the ship?
You are very welcome to bring your own cakes or flower arrangements on board. These must be stored in your own cabin due to our health and safety requirements.
Can our guests throw confetti once the ceremony is over?
Confetti can be thrown inside your chosen wedding venue. If your guests wish to use confetti on deck, it must be biodegradable.
