All you need to know about booking your Ceremony at Sea
Your count down to the big day
Have you decided which ship and cruise you want for your ceremony? Then contact our team of ceremony coordinators to check it’s available. Once that’s confirmed for both your chosen cruise, ceremony date and time, we’ll ask you for a 25% deposit. We need a minimum of three months’ notice to organise a Wedding at Sea, two months’ notice for a Commitment Ceremony and two weeks’ notice for a Renewal of Vows.
Choosing your finishing touches
We’ll send your ceremony planning form four months prior to your cruise. This is where you let us know all the optional extras you’ve chosen (if you’d like to add additional extras after you’ve returned your planning form, you can do so separately, no later than 56 days prior to your departure). If you need to make any changes, or add guests to your booking, just let our ceremony coordinator know as soon as possible.
Weddings at Sea formalities
You'll receive your Notice of Intended Marriage four months before your cruise. This must be completed and returned within 14 days for the marriage licence to be granted and received by the ship in time. If you or your partner are divorced or widowed, we'll need a copy of the decree absolute or death certificate. If you've changed your name, we'll need a copy of the deed poll. These documents must be in English or translated into English by an approved translator before we can complete the legal formalities. Once we’ve taken the final payment, we’ll obtain the required marriage licence on your behalf.
Embarkation day
The day of your cruise has finally arrived! Once you get on board, your ceremony coordinator will be in touch to arrange to meet with you to go over the details of your ceremony plan and ensure everything runs smoothly.
